High-capacity general filtration and limescale protection at the point of entry

Filtration and Scale Protection for Commercial Systems and EquipmentDimensions of the AquaProtect-Duo: High Filtration Capacity and Limescale Treatment

Principle

AquaProtect-Duo High Capacity provides filtration and scale protection for commercial and residential systems and equipment. It combines two 20-inch Big Blue filtration stages with a passive treatment RING installed at the module’s outlet.

1. Sediments 5 µm

Compact polypropylene depth filtration cartridge: reduces sludge, rust, oxides, fine sand, and suspended particles.

2. BLOCK 10 µm Activated Carbon

High-capacity compressed structure: reduces chlorine, tastes, odors, many organic compounds, and certain PFAS, depending on the quality of the media and operating conditions.

3. RING

An external, passive device that does not come into contact with water and does not reduce the pipe’s cross-sectional area. It must be selected based on the actual outer diameter of the outlet pipe.

Features and Benefits: Tangible Advantages in Everyday Life

  Reduction in airborne particulate matter.

Reduction of chlorine, tastes, odors, organic compounds, and certain PFAS.

Large capacity and long runtime thanks to the 20-inch Big Blue format.

  Reduces scale buildup in systems.

Protection of pipes, valves, and equipment.

No chemicals added to the water and no electrical connection required.

Helps reduce maintenance and upkeep costs.

Functional Diagram: Network-Specific Configuration

The module is installed at the inlet, preferably on a bypass. The RING is included, but its diameter must be configured based on the actual measurement of the outlet pipe.

Recommended flow rate: 20 to 30 L/min to maintain a good balance between flow rate, pressure drop, and contact time with the activated carbon. Occasional flow rates of up to approximately 40 L/min are possible,

Maintenance

Check the pressure upstream and downstream of the module regularly.

Replace the cartridges based on usage, water quality, and an increase in pressure drop.

As a general guideline: replace every 6 to 12 months, depending on professional use.

Rinse the carbon cartridge thoroughly when putting it into service.

The RING requires no consumables and causes no hydraulic pressure drop.

Installation Recommendations

Install on a bypass to allow for maintenance without a prolonged power outage.

Install shut-off valves and drain valves, and ensure there is sufficient space under the bowls to replace the cartridges.

Install in a frost-free location, out of direct sunlight, and on a wall capable of supporting the unit’s operating weight.

Follow the traffic direction indicated on  .

Measure the outer diameter of the outlet pipe before selecting the RING.
