Interaction between minerals

Minerals may interfere with each other during intestinal absorption. Certain minerals may compete or interact with each other, influencing their assimilation and metabolism. The more a mineral is involved in a large number of biological processes, the greater the risk of interactions with other elements.

The diagram below shows some of these interactions. The arrows indicate antagonisms between different minerals for intestinal absorption.
