Compliance & Certifications for Osmodyn® Reverse Osmosis Systems

Transparency, Quality, and Safety of Components

At Osmodyn, we place particular importance on the selection of components used in the manufacture of our filtration systems. Each component is sourced from manufacturers recognized for their performance, reliability, and compliance with applicable regulations in Europe and Switzerland.

Our approach is based on a simple principle: The quality of a reverse osmosis system depends on the quality of each of its components.

Our Commitment to Quality

Every Osmodyn reverse osmosis system is:

✔ Assembled using individually selected components.

✔ Inspected before shipment.

✔ Filled with water and tested on a test bench.

✔ Configured according to the selected options.

✔ Delivered ready for installation.

Our goal is not only to offer a high-performance reverse osmosis system, but also equipment that is durable, scalable, and repairable.

Why take this approach?

Regulations and certifications generally apply to components, not the complete assembly. That is why we prioritize transparency by listing the key compliance certifications for the components that make up our systems.

This approach ensures that materials that come into contact with drinking water and electrical equipment are carefully selected in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Osmodyn reverse osmosis systems comply with European regulations?

Yes. The components used are selected to comply with the applicable regulations based on their function (food contact, electrical equipment, chemicals, etc.).

Why don't you seek a single certification for the entire reverse osmosis system?

A reverse osmosis system consists of numerous components from specialized manufacturers. Each has its own compliance standards and certifications. We are committed to complete transparency by disclosing the compliance status of the main components that make up our systems.

Are Osmodyn® reverse osmosis systems NSF/ANSI 58 certified?

NSF/ANSI 58 certification is a U.S. standard primarily intended for the North American market for reverse osmosis systems. Osmodyn® reverse osmosis systems, designed in Switzerland, primarily meet the requirements applicable to the European and Swiss markets.

Our approach prioritizes the quality of each component rather than a single certification for the finished product. The reverse osmosis membranes integrated into our systems are NSF International-certified, and the other components are selected based on their own compliance standards and certifications (NSF 51, NSF 61, WRAS, FDA, EN 60335, EN 55014, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, depending on the component).

This approach ensures a high level of quality, safety, reliability, and durability, in accordance with the Swiss design standards that characterize Osmodyn® products.

Are the materials suitable for drinking water?

Yes. Materials that come into contact with water are selected for their suitability for food contact and meet the applicable regulatory requirements.

Can Osmodyn reverse osmosis systems be repaired?

Yes. Unlike many electronic devices, Osmodyn reverse osmosis systems are built to last. Wear-and-tear parts can be replaced, and key components remain available over the long term.
