Osmodyn Faucets: Certifications, Materials, and Drinking Water Compliance
Faucets for Reverse Osmosis Water — Compliance, Materials, and Health and Safety

The faucets offered by Osmodyn for osmosis water are selected to ensure a separate, clean, and appropriate delivery system for purified water.
Depending on the model you choose, our faucets allow for either a dedicated supply of reverse osmosis water via a single-outlet faucet, or 3 to 5 outlets combined into a single mixer faucet:
- hot water from the municipal supply,
- cold tap water,
- osmosis-treated/filtered water,
- fresh osmosis water,
- fresh, sparkling osmosis water,
This design prevents tap water from mixing with reverse osmosis water.
Metal-Free Technology for Reverse Osmosis Water
For osmosis water, Osmodyn prefers the so-called “Metal Free”models when the configuration allows.
Metal-Free technology means that the purified water does not come into direct contact with the metal parts of the faucet. It flows through a dedicated internal circuit that is separate from the faucet body.
This design is particularly well-suited for osmosis water, as it preserves the water’s neutrality, purity, and taste after filtration.
Single-way valves
Single-way faucets are specifically designed to dispense only reverse osmosis water.
They are recommended when you want to keep a standard main faucet for hot and cold water and add a separate tap for reverse osmosis water.
Benefits:
- a faucet used exclusively for reverse osmosis water;
- no mixing with tap water;
- Metal-Free technology;
- a compact and unobtrusive solution;
- Compatible with Osmodyn reverse osmosis systems and other brands.
3-Way Faucets for Reverse Osmosis Water
Three-way faucets allow you to keep a single faucet on the sink while keeping the water lines separate.
They distribute:
- domestic hot water,
- cold tap water,
- osmosis-treated or filtered water.
The outlet for osmosis water is connected to the osmosis unit via a 1/4" connector or quick-connect fitting, depending on the model.
Benefits:
- a single faucet on the countertop;
- complete separation of circuits;
- direct access to reverse-osmosis water;
- an attractive and practical solution;
- Compatible with Osmodyn reverse osmosis systems.
5-way faucet
It is an all-in-one solution for kitchens equipped with a reverse osmosis system and a water bar.
It allows you to access the following from a single faucet:
- hot water from the municipal supply
- cold tap water,
- room-temperature osmosis water,
- fresh reverse-osmosis water
- sparkling osmosis water.
Its main purpose is to separate the circuits, which is essential for maintaining the quality of the osmosis water all the way to the glass.
Manufacturing Materials
Depending on the model, Osmodyn faucets may include:
- a solid brass body for mechanical strength;
- a ceramic disc cartridge for precision and durability;
- a separate internal circuit for reverse-osmosis water;
- a metal-free design when the model calls for it;
- Chrome, steel, matte black, gunmetal, or gold finishes, depending on the model.
For Metal-Free models, the key feature is not just the faucet’s exterior material, but the fact that the osmosis water flows through a separate circuit, without coming into direct contact with metal.
The cartridges are made of ceramic and are rated for up to 70,000 cycles in accordance with the EN 817 standard. The flexible hoses are rated as compliant with the EN 13618 standard and capable of withstanding 130 bars without failure.
Certifications and Compliance
The faucets selected by Osmodyn are made of high-quality brass, with chrome, matte, or PVD finishes, and feature technical components that have been tested for use in sanitary applications.
The relevant products may carry certifications such as ACS, NF, AENOR, Belgaqua, UWLA, or EPD/DAP, and “Metal Free,” depending on the model selected. These certifications attest to the products’ sanitary, mechanical, and environmental quality, as well as their water and energy efficiency.
Osmodyn faucets designed for filtered or reverse-osmosis water are intended to deliver water that has been pretreated by a filtration or reverse-osmosis system, without unnecessary contact with the faucet’s metal parts, when specified by the model.
Warranties
Our faucets are covered by the applicable legal warranties and, depending on the model, by manufacturer warranties.
The warranty covers manufacturing defects under proper installation and normal use.
It does not cover normal wear and tear, impacts, scratches, limescale stains, harsh cleaning products, improper installation, or inappropriate water pressure.
