Reverse Osmosis unit Osmodyn NOMADE 1x50 GPD
The Nomade Reverse Osmosis system : travel light and drink safely
21 cm and less than 1 kg.
The Nomade prioritizes filtration safety and autonomous reliability over speed. Its progressive production guarantees optimal purification in critical situations.
It requires no electrical connection, is ultra-small and lightweight, and can be easily transported in its travel bag.
Universal connection: can be fitted to any tap, on or in place of the jetbreaker, without tools, and does not prevent the use of your hot or cold water.
Differentiation from basic "survival" filters
Unlike :
- filter straws
- simple gravity cartridges
- 0.1 micron microfilters
The Nomade incorporates reverse osmosis, i.e. much finer molecular filtration.
This is its major advantage.
Advanced microbiological safety
The Nomade combines :
- 20 µ pre-filtration + activated carbon
- 50 GPD reverse osmosis membrane
It helps reduce :
- bacteria
- viruses
- heavy metals
- plastic residues
- phytosanitary products
- chlorine and unpleasant tastes
Reverse osmosis represents a molecular filtration level superior to simple mechanical filters. It operates on an extremely fine scale, suitable for situations where water quality is uncertain.
In your package
- 1 transparent carrying case
- 1 universal nozzle
- 1 bypass valve + 1/4" tube and accessories
- 1 membrane 50 GPD + 1 double carbon filter / 20 µ
- 1 filter support
- 1 TDS tester
Dimensions & technical data
- Travel kit dimensions: length 24 cm, width 11 cm, height 11 cm - weight 892 g
- RO unit: height 24 cm - width with stand 11 cm - depth with stand 14 cm
- Reverse osmosis filtration requires only mains water pressure.
- Filtration flow rate at 3 bars: ≈ 5 to 6.5 liters/hour
Simple renewal
- Pre-filter 20 µ + carbon: renewal recommended every 3 months (depending on quality and volume) (Réf Pré-filtre Nomade)
- Reverse osmosis membrane: 6 to 12 months depending on use and incoming water quality (Ref Membrane 50 GPD Nomade)
Filtration
- Chlorine
- Unpleasant taste
- Removes 99% of pollutants from water
- Bacteria, viruses
- Heavy metals
- Plastic residues
- Fluoride
- Chemical products
- Phytosanitary products
Maintenance is limited to replacing filters and greasing or renewing the O-ring: see.
Water production should be tested periodically using the TDS tester to check filter performance, plan for renewal and anticipate membrane clogging.
A water safety solution
The Osmodyn Nomade is not a kitchen osmosis unit. It's an autonomous drinking water production system, designed to protect your access to water when the network can no longer guarantee continuity or quality.
Secure your water. Anticipate. Stay autonomous.
General warning
Filters, reverse osmosis membranes and cartridges are consumables with a limited lifespan. Their lifespan depends on the quality of the incoming water (turbidity, chlorine content, excess components, etc.).
- Do not connect to hot water (T<40°C)
- Ambient temperature between 4°C and 45°C
- Cold water inlet pressure required: 2.5 bar (0.25 MPa) to 5 bar (0.5 MPa) with pressure relief valve if required.
Pressure units
1 bar = 100,000 Pa = 100 kPa = 0.000145 psi
1 Pa = 0.00001 bar = 0.000145 psi
1 psi = 0.069 bar = 6897.8 Pa
- Depending on hardness, it is advisable to install an additional anti-scale device.
- If the water to be treated comes from the public network and complies with health regulations: Osmodyn will improve water quality.
- If the water is of unknown origin or not from the public network, a physico-chemical and bacteriological analysis will enable treatment to be adapted (salinity > 2000 ppm, iron, manganese, turbidity > 3 NTUs...).
As we have no control over the conditions of use of the filters (consumables), we decline all responsibility for results or damage incurred. It is the user's responsibility to determine whether the product is suitable for his application.
