Tutorial: filter replacement (Osmodyn Hybrid Reverse Osmosis)
Tools required
To replace the filters, you'll need the small tube extraction wrenche supplied with your osmosis unit, as well as thetransport plugs.

Preliminary step (common to all Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems)

- Close the water inlet, unplug your RO unit, open the osmosis water tap and the drain valve on the blue tube of your Hybride RO.
- Remove the red clips securing the connections of the 3 tubes (white, blue).
- Using the wrench: with one hand, push the collar around the tube (white, blue or black) towards the connection, and with the other hand, pull the tube.
- Close the connections with the 3 transport plugs.
For Hybrid RO
Once you've completed the disconnection step common to all RO systems, you can move on to the next steps.

Step 1: KDF filter replacement (every 6 months)

Unclip the bi-filter elbow fitting.
Unclip the KDF filter. Rinse the new filter by connecting it to the water inlet tube, let it run for 1 minute in the sink, then reassemble.
Step 2: Annual replacement of sediment filter, post-filter and membrane
Unclip the sediment filter from the triple clip.

Remove the safety clips on the top of the pump and remove the two network elbows fittings (white and blue tubes) from the top of the RO membrane.

Open the buckles holding the pump to the post-filter and RO membrane, then unclip the tube on the lower part of the RO membrane.

You can now change your sediment filter, Post-filter and RO membrane, and proceed with reassembly.
Step 3: Reassembly
Replace the turnbuckles holding the pump to the Post-Filter and RO membrane, then replace the water inlet fitting on the RO membrane.

Reposition the blue and white tubes on the 2 RO membrane outlets, then replace the safety clips.

Reposition the sediment filter in the triple support and fit the assembly on the post-filter.

Insert the elbow fitting on the Bi-filter, respecting the direction of water flow.

Re-commissioning and inspection
After connecting the new filters and reassembling the system: open the water inlet and let the water circulate for 1 minute to expel any air. Close the drain valve and sink faucet to re-pressurize the Hybride RO. Electrically reconnect your Hybride.

Take the time to check that there are no leaks in your connections when re-pressurizing.
