Principles
- 3-stagefiltration + UV disinfection: clarification → refining (taste/odor/organic) → microbiological deactivation (bacteria, viruses, protozoa) by UV lamp.

- Household protection to clarify, refine (tastes/odors/organic) then reduce bacteria & viruses with UV. Potabilization downstream with an osmosis unit to eliminate a broader spectrum of contaminants..

-UV requirements: clear water, low turbidity, limited iron/manganese to guaranteeUV dose.
- Electricity required for UV unit.
Maintenance & safety
- Cartridges: 6-12 months depending on turbidity/volume.
-UV lamp: replacement 12 months (nominal hours); cleaning/checking of quartz sheath.
- Initial rinsing and physico-chemical & bacteriological checks recommended.
* Reduction depends on water quality and contact time.
